A Christie representative presents Mystique at InfoComm
Global audiovisual specialist Christie has launched a visualisation technology solution aimed at increasing the possibilities of digital storytelling and simplifying the installation and operation of large-scale visual projects.
The software and hardware solution, called Mystique, combines Christie’s tools and techniques to assist the design, installation and operation processes for visual experiences, such as projection mapping and immersive dynamic content narratives at sports venues, theme parks and attractions, and public or retail spaces.
“Christie Mystique is a combination of design and auto-calibration software, system-level hardware and services that make it easier for our customers to move from the ‘art of the possible’ to reality,” said Jennifer Smith, executive vice president, Global Market Solutions, Christie.
One of Mystique’s main selling points is its design abilities, enabling projects to be simulated and tested in the virtual world with a VR headset or with a physical 3D model and pico projectors. Mystique then manages installation, aligning and blending projectors for a seamless experience; and in operating mode the user can monitor and recalibrate alignment and brightness, even remotely.
The suite makes it easier to bring mapping technology projects to life and simplifies many of the complex technical and logistic challenges that currently arise.
“Christie is first in the industry to offer a full suite of services, software and hardware solutions for the design, deployment and maintenance of complex visual systems,” said Curtis Mutter, solutions manager at Christie.
“Mystique solves specific challenges that our partners encounter when fulfilling multi-screen, multi-projector blended systems. With the Mystique suite of solutions, our partners can continue to confidently work with Christie for all of their location-based entertainment needs from idea to reality,” Mutter said.
Mystique Design and Install will be released later this year, with Mystique Operate planned for the first half of 2017.
